Young Damarion Byrd went to sleep in his bed Sunday night like he had numerous other times, with the anticipation of going to school the next morning and seeing his friends and teachers. But Monday morning never happened for the 10-year-old because a bullet took his life while he slept.

Milledgeville Mayor Mary Parham-Copelan gave the State of the City address during the Milledgeville City Council meeting on Tuesday. The mayor highlighted both city and city council achievements during her address and presented a slide show to the audience of the bulleted lists.
It was an interesting day of architectural history for The Milledgeville Garden Club members as Jim Barfield (speaker) and Walter Elliott (photographer) presented a slide presentation on Mid-Century Macon Homes’ built over Streams with beautiful breathtaking Gardens.
