GWM: Your book shop for great holiday gifts

    Do you have a book-loving person in your life? Perhaps someone in a book club? Looking for the perfect holiday book-themed gift? Then look no further than the bookstore at Georgia Writers Museum (GWM, 109 S. Jefferson Ave.) in downtown Eatonton.

    The GWM bookstore recently added a selection of vibrant book-themed ornaments, all made by a woman-owned small business. Each of eight themed ornaments depicts a fun and exciting new scene.

    Bookmarks also make crowdpleasing stocking stuffers. GWM just received a new order of colorful, unique bookmarks that include memorable images of adorable animals busy reading or clever book-related sayings. Unique traditional, ribbon, metal and magnetic bookmarks are available.

    Additionally, GWM has vinyl stickers that make great stocking stuffers. A large assortment of book-related stickers includes Georgia-, animalor book-themed stickers to perfectly complement water bottles, laptops, notebooks and so much more.

    For the coffee or wine drinker, GWM offers a selection of mugs and stemless wine glasses. Each depicts either a special scene or book-related saying, including a wine glass that would make an ideal gift for a book club member that declares: “What happens at the book club, stays at the book club.” GWM also has a selection of tumblers for those who enjoy other beverages while reading.

    Of course, there are holiday themed books, too. Looking for a Christmas love story? Pick up a copy of The Perfect Love Song by Patti Callahan Henry or The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews. Prefer ghostly appearances for the holidays? Then Karen White’s The Christmas Spirits on Tradd Street is just right. Need a heart-warming story about a sister’s love for her brother? Grab a copy of Once Upon a Wardrobe by Patti Callahan Henry. Or, for the crime lovers, Mary Kay Andrews’ Midnight Clear.

    And don’t forget young readers. The museum bookstore has children’s books from several local authors, including Brinkley Pound’s When Eva Hollers and Andrea Cassell’s Kibby series.

    The Georgia Writers Museum bookstore is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
