Georgia Military College Preparatory School (GMC Prep) Cadet William Steinfeld has been honored with the title of Georgia District Exchange Club Youth of the Year.
This achievement not only marks a significant milestone for GMC Prep but also stands as a first for Milledgeville/Baldwin County. Steinfeld's performance saw him triumph over nominees from approximately 15 other clubs across the state, as he shined in academics, leadership, extracurricular activities, and community service.
The Milledgeville Exchange Club's recognition of Steinfeld as its Youth of the Year served as the initial step in a journey that now has led to statewide acclaim.
This award embodies the essence of the Exchange Club's commitment to honoring exceptional young individuals who have made noteworthy contributions to their communities and beyond. Steinfeld is now entered into competition for the National Youth of the Year Award along with nominees from the other 49 states. If he wins the National Youth of the Year Award, he will be flown to San Antonio for the National Convention.
'Cadet Steinfeld's dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence exemplify the core values GMC Prep School instills in all their students,” said Dr. Jeff Wells, vice president of The Georgia District Exchange Club.
“Steinfeld's journey to becoming the Georgia District Exchange Club Youth of the Year reflects his unwavering dedication, tireless efforts, and exceptional character.
His commitment to academic excellence, coupled with his exemplary leadership skills and active involvement in extracurricular activities and community service, sets a shining example for his peers and the broader community.”
As Steinfeld continues to inspire and lead by example, Georgia Military College Preparatory School extends its heartfelt congratulations on this well-deserved honor.
