Vehicle causes damage to crossing a rm On July 16, law enforcement made contact with the complainant, at Jiffy Lube, 147 Roberson Mill Rd. in reference to damage to property. The complainant stated while outside he observed a red Toyota Camry headed eastbound on Roberson Mill Road cross over the railroad tracks when the grade crossing arm came down to strike the vehicle.
The vehicle left the area traveling east towards North Columbia Street. The crossing arm was bent downward almost in half.
Shoplifter flees without product
On July 19, law enforcement was dispatched to Family Dollar, at 641 S.
Wayne St., in reference to a shoplifting.
An employee stated an unidentified male took a pack of black socks and concealed the package under his shirt.
When the employee confronted the male about the item being concealed, he took the package out from under his shirt, placed the package on the counter, and left the location walking in the direction of South Wilkinson Street toward Discount Tobacco.
Woman starts fight in Circle K
On July 21, law enforcement was dispatched to the Circle K in reference to a fight. Surveillance video of the incident showed Tonya Warren standing at the coffee station when Jakia Fraley entered the store. Fraley walked from one side of Warren to the other side and stood behind her. From the video it appeared they exchanged words before Warren walked to the other side of the store. After a brief moment, Fraley walked across the store and got into Warren’s face before hitting her with her right hand. Warren defended herself by swinging back before both parties were entangled. Two witnesses separated the pair. Fraley walked out the store and returned with her mother. She attempted to re-engage the altercation with Warren but her mother escorted her out of the store. Fraley was trespassed from the location and a warrant for battery was taken on Fraley.
