Man arrested for stealing four-wheeler
On April 9, law enforcement was dispatched to 80 Oak Court in reference to a verbal altercation. The victim stated a neighbor saw Daniel Golden pushing a black and green four-wheeler from her address and that she went to confront Golden about him taking her son’s fourwheeler. Golden stated he did not take a four-wheeler from the victim’s address but knew where the four-wheeler was located. Golden was able to take an officer to where the four-wheeler was retrieved and turned back over to the victim. A witness stated on April 6 they observed Golden pushing a black and green four-wheeler that was at their address but did not see where Golden went after that. Golden was taken into custody and transported to the Baldwin County Jail for theft by taking.
Individual steals leaf blower
On April 9, law enforcement was dispatched to Glow Salon, at 1501 N.
Columbia St., in reference to a theft. The complainant stated that while his lawn care employees were performing their job duties, a silver SUV pulled up beside their work truck, and someone got into the back of the work truck. They took a Steele BR600 Leaf Blower, valued at approximately $700. Camera footage reviewed from Glow Salon showed a silver Pontiac Vibe pull next to their work truck. Someone exits the vehicle and climbs into the work truck to take the leaf blower placing it into the backseat of their vehicle. A check of the area was conducted and a vehicle matching the description in the camera footage was found.
Break-in on North Pickens Street
On April 12, law enforcement was dispatched to a residence on North Pickins Street in reference to a burglary. The complainant stated she arrived at the residence approximately 20 minutes prior to dispatch and noticed the front door of the residence was wide open.
There were pry marks on the door from what she believes was a crowbar used on the door frame. She did not know the exact day the incident occurred but advised whoever broke into the residence left a washing machine and drying machine. It will cost approximately $700-$1,000 to repair the door with labor included. Due to the state of the washer and dryer, law enforcement determined it would not be possible to check for latent fingerprints as there was a heavy layer of dust and grime on their exteriors.
Two women arrested for DUI
On April 13, law enforcement initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign at Frank Bone Road and Hancock Street. The driver, identified as Quantisha Hall, stopped in the parking lot of the Circle K. Law enforcement observed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and red-shot eyes. Hall informed police that the passengers in her vehicle had been drinking but she had not. Law enforcement conducted a motor vehicle safety test and arrested Hall for driving under the influence. Hall was issued citations for driving under the influence, violation of limited driving permit, and failure to stop at a stop sign.
Once she was placed into the rear of the officer’s vehicle on scene, her passenger Nichole Clemons got into the driver’s seat without instruction and drove off. An officer initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle again and the passenger was arrested. Clemons was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked.
Man tries to flee from outstanding warrants
On April 14, law enforcement responded to 424 Gordon Highway Lot E in reference to Joseph Aultman having outstanding warrants for parole violation and probation violation. Upon arrival, law enforcement observed Aultman behind Lot E and gave Aultman verbal commands to stop moving. Aultman turned away from the officer and began to flee. A foot pursuit began and a taser was successfully deployed. It made contact with Aultman's back, at which point Aultman fell to the ground.
Aultman was placed under arrest and a warrant will be secured on Aultman for misdemeanor obstruction of officers.
