Burglary occurs at residence on Laura Court
On Jan. 23, law enforcement met with a victim about a burglary that already occurred at a residence on Laura Court. The victim stated she and her girlfriend left the residence on Jan. 22 and returned later on the same date to find things misplaced in the kitchen and living room. She reported her black Taurus G2C handgun, a box of 9-millimeter ammunition, a pink and black book bag, and her son’s black Xbox One missing from the residence. A tablet and laptop in the residence were also moved around but not taken.
The victim stated leaves were by the back door inside the house that were not there before. There were no signs of forced entry on either door, however, law enforcement noticed the window to a bedroom was slightly ajar.
Burglary occurs at Pine Knoll Apartments
On Jan. 23, law enforcement met with a victim about a burglary that previously occurred at his residence at Pine Knoll Apartments. The victim stated on Jan. 1 he returned to the location and found multiple items missing. He believed the burglary occurred between Dec. 21 and Jan. 1 and stated he did not want to report the burglary until he had recorded all of the items missing.
The following items were noted missing from his residence: a silver HP 17” laptop, a black Samsung S20 cellphone, a silver/ chrome Azzaro Wanted men’s cologne 3.4 oz., a Spice Bomb men’s cologne 5 oz., a black Ralph Lauren Club men’s cologne gift set 3.4 oz., a royal blue Polo Sport men's cologne 3.4 oz., and a royal blue Tommy Hilfiger beanie hat. The victim did not observe any forced entry at the time of the incident. No video surveillance was available of the incident.
Weekend reports of entering autos
On Jan. 25, there were three entering autos reported at Revelry Flats, Colonial Village, and West College Station. At Revelry Flats, two phone chargers, three opened packs of Pokémon cards, vehicle registration, and an insurance card were taken. The car was reported to have been locked. At Colonial Village, the victim reported finding papers scattered in the driver’s side floorboard along with the center console and glove box being left open.
Nothing was reported missing. At West College Station, a rifle was reported stolen from a locked vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry.
Car stolen from Arcadia Bay
On Jan. 27, law enforcement contacted an individual about her vehicle being stolen from the Arcadia Subdivision located at 120 Pumping Station Rd. She parked her vehicle outside of her apartment on Jan. 26 unsecured.
She left some of her items inside the vehicle, which included the keys to the vehicle. The victim described her vehicle as a black 2015 Nissan Altima unknown in approximate value. On Jan. 28, law enforcement at the Macon-Bibb County Sheriff’s Office secured the vehicle.
The vehicle had been located at 2727 Walnut Creek with the engine cut out.
Door damaged on Habersham Street
On Jan. 27, law enforcement was dispatched to Habersham Street about damage to property/possible burglary. The resident left the home on Jan. 26 and returned to find his front door open with damage to the door frame. No items were taken from his residence. Law enforcement located the door frame and pieces of the door frame on the ground nearby.
Victim reports armed robbery
On Jan. 27, law enforcement contacted an individual at Habersham Apartments about armed robbery. The victim stated he was parked north on North Liberty Street to pick up his friend when an unknown male subject entered his vehicle and sat in the front passenger seat. The man asked him to drive him “right down the street twice” and asked for money, which the victim refused.
The man reportedly pulled out a knife held it next to the victim’s leg and demanded money. At this time, the victim honked his horn causing the man to flee on North Liberty Street.
The victim was not injured in the incident and no items were taken. Officers searched the area to locate the subject, however, they were met with negative results.
