Woman steals $225 worth of items from Walmart
On Oct. 4, law enforcement was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting. A female, later identified as McKenlie Nobles, only scanned a few items and failed to scan a pink suitcase and several clothing items with a total value of $225.06. Nobles attempted to walk in the direction of Claires but was taken to loss prevention and waited for officers arrival. Nobles was trespassed from all Walmart’s and Sam Clubs. Due to it being Nobles’ first offense, she was only issued a citation for shoplifting.
Man trespassed from Circle K Gas Station
On Oct. 4, law enforcement was dispatched to Circle K Gas Station in reference to a theft. A male subject, later identified as Dajuan McCormick, reportedly grabbed items and approached a counter to checkout. At the counter, he informed the clerk that he needed to grab money from his residence and would return. However, he did not return.
According to an employee, McCormick has committed this act over several days.
An officer located McMormick at Other Guy’s Paint and Body walking back towards the gas station. He informed the officer that he was returning to the location to purchase the items and always had the intention to return. No charges are being filed against McCormick, however, he has been trespassed from the location.
Tools go missing from vehicle toolbox
On Oct. 6, law enforcement was dispatched to West Franklin Street in reference to a theft. The victim reported that he arrived at his vehicle to find the tool box open. A Milwaukee impact wrench valued at $300, craftsman toolbox containing multiple tools valued at $400, a set of jumper cables of unknown value and a torque wrench of unknown value were reported missing.
Due to having no suspects, no charges are being filed.
Man stuffs ribs down his pants and escapes
On Oct. 6, law enforcement was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a shoplifting. A man, later identified as Milton McDonald, put four packages of ribs down his pants and his puff coat before leaving the building. He fled on foot when a manager observed a meat package fall from his pants. Video footage showed him stealing the packages inside the store. The estimated product cost was $87.63. When law enforcement arrived, they saw Milton running down the guard rail towards Holiday Inn and flee into the woods.
Warrants were secured for Milton.
Male threatens residents within shared home
On Oct. 6, law enforcement was dispatched to a residence in reference to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, the victim reported that Dezmen Lewis became irate for no reason and began to threaten them. Feeling afraid for their life, they removed themself from the situation and sat in their car until law enforcement arrived. Dezmen stated he was trying to get some sleep for work and did not do anything. While an officer spoke to Dezmen, another resident in the home began to engage in an argument with him. The officer heard Dezmen threaten their life during the argument.
He was arrested for terroristic threats and transported off the property.
Unknown individuals damage church planter
On Oct. 8, law enforcement was dispatched to Emmanuel Baptist Church in reference to damage to property. A red brick planter box at the base of the church sign had damages to the brick along with numerous tire impressions in the grass nearby. The tire impressions indicated the vehicle doing donuts and an officer located several unopened beer cans on the ground. Since no suspects were identified, no charges will be filed.
Burglary at Laura Court
On Oct. 7, law enforcement was dispatched to Laura Court in reference to a burglary. The victim reported that when he arrived home, he found the frame to his door damaged. He found $25,000 in cash missing and three necklaces. As of The Baldwin Bulletin’s deadline, there is no further information.
Man attacks employees while shoplifting
On Oct. 7, law enforcement was dispatched to Beauty Queen Store in reference to a burglary. When arriving on scene, Athonic Scott was observed walking around the building and carrying what appeared to be items with price tags. When officers approached Scott, it was noted he had a pair of blue jean pants and a red jacket that still had price tags on them. He was also noted to be holding a blue jean jacket and belt in hand with price tags from Men’s Fit. The total value of stolen items was $189.35. According to witnesses, Scott entered the store and became irate. He reportedly grabbed hats off of the shelf and punched an employee. The victim that was punched stated that the punch caused their bottom lip to bleed and when they pushed Scott away, he left two lacerations to their hand. Another victim reported that when they tried to stop Scott from coming around the counter, he shoved them into a sunglass rack causing them to hit their head. A small knot was left behind. Warrants for theft by shoplifting and two counts of battery were taken out on Scott.
Burglary at West Side Mini-Storage
On Oct. 7, law enforcement was dispatched to West Side Mini-Storage in reference to a burglary. The complainant reported that the lock to their storage unit was cut off. An 82-inch Hinseng television was stolen.

Burglary at Habersham Apartments
On Oct. 9, law enforcement was dispatched to Habersham Apartments in reference to a burglary. The victim stated they left the apartment the night before and returned the next morning.
They later noticed the front door frame had been splintered and that their tote bag containing an iphone, their wallet, and a Sony bluetooth speaker was missing. As of The Baldwin Bulletin’s deadline, there are no suspects.
