Theft at Walmart
On July 20th, law enforcement was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, law enforcement met with Loss Prevention Personnel who stated they had Whitney Webb detained. Reportedly, Webb attempted to take clothes and conceal them in her open purse in the houseware section of the store. An employee followed Webb and reported that they saw her go to the self checkout, grab a bottle of orange juice, and conceal it inside her purse. At this point, Webb was detained by Loss Prevention until law enforcement arrived. Webb was cited for theft by shoplifting (first offense) and left without further incident.
$1000 in lawn equipment stolen from landscape trailer
On July 24, law enforcement responded to a reported theft. Upon arrival at the scene, the victim stated he had purchased two pieces of lawn equipment from Sinclair Heavy Duty. He reported his yard blower, Echo BP9010, and edger, Echo 2620T were taken from his landscape trailer parked on his property. He last used the machines on July 22 and reported them being taken the night of July 23. The blower cost approximately $700 and the edger cost approximately $450. No surveillance footage was at the residence but serial numbers will be provided to attempt to locate the items.
Employee pockets $565 from Walmart
On July 24, law enforcement was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a theft. Upon contact with an Asset Protection associate, the officer was advised an employee, identified as Tykeria Dezerea Vassar, was taking money from customers and pocketing it instead of putting it in the registers. The total taken was $565.09. A warrant for theft by taking was secured for Vassar.
