Unknown individual breaks into home
On May 10, law enforcement was dispatched to 466 Kings Rd. in reference to a burglary. The homeowner stated that someone came into her home through the front door in the middle of the night. The front door was left unlocked and the offender took $400 out of her wallet, which was sitting on the table in the kitchen. She stated her glasses were also taken, and were replaced with a different pair of glasses which were found in her bathroom.
Several prescription drugs were taken from the bottles that were left on the kitchen table. The bottles the officer observed were for Clonidine 0.1 mg, Zolpidem Tart 10 mg, Quetiapine Fumarate 400 mg (x2), Sertraline 50 mg, Carvedilol 25 mg, Clonazepam 1mg (x2), Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5, and Tramadol HCL 50 mg. As of the newspaper’s deadline, there is no further information.
Man trespassed from King of Smoke
On May 10, law enforcement was dispatched to the King of Smoke, 1835 N. Columbia St., Suite 1, in reference to a trespass. Eric Jacore Jordan stated he was at the King of Smoke when he broke a glass object and alleged that he was told it was ok that he broke the glass object and left the location. Based on information the officer obtained from probation, they had probable cause to believe Jordan had a probation warrant, which was confirmed by dispatch and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office.
Jordan was placed under arrest. The King of Smoke manager stated Jordan was on the property and advised him to not touch anything if he could not pay for it. Jordan then dropped and broke a glass pipe and was told to leave.
The manager stated an hour later he returned and was allowed back into the store. Jordan reportedly went to the south side of the store and began to be belligerent when the manager then had him exit the store. Jordan was trespassed from the location.
Drunk driver pulled over on N. Jefferson St.
On May 11, while on patrol in the area of North Jefferson Street and North Ridge Drive, an officer observed a silver Nissan Maxima in the southbound lane.
The driver of the vehicle failed to maintain the lane of travel. The driver stopped in the parking lot of Howington and Burrell Realty. A deputy arrived on scene to conduct Standardized Field Sobriety testing and concluded Reaves was under the influence. Reaves stated that she would not consent to the state-administered chemical test. Reaves received citations for driving under the influence and failure to maintain lane.
