Officers locate 14.76 ounces of marijuana.On May 17, law enforcement conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Friendly Gus, located at 118 Highway 49, for expired registration.

Shooter arrested at AM City Package; man wounded

On Jan. 25, law enforcement responded to shots fired and a male subject being injured at AM City Package at 1557 Vinson Hwy. Officers canvassed the parking lot and bystanders reportedly began pointing beside the business where a gray Ford Crown Victoria was parked.

Investigation into killing of 16-year-old continues

The Milledgeville Police Department announced an ongoing investigation into the death of a 16-year-old on Nov. 25 on the 2300 block of Anthony Way. At approximately 12:30 p.m., patrol units from the Milledgeville Police Department responded to multiple reports of shots fired.

Man arrested for shots fired in Wray Homes area

At approximately 9:15 p.m., on Sept. 1, Milledgeville Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of Wray Homes in reference to multiple 911 calls of shots fired.

Four Milledgeville teens shot within one week

Four young people suffered gunshot wounds in three individual shootings that occurred within one week in Milledgeville. Most recently, on July 23, Milledgeville Police Department Officer John Childress was on patrol in the area of the 100 block of West Martin Luther King, Jr.
