Familiar face around the county jail returns

A Gordon Highway woman recently was booked at the county jail for the 11th time in 11 years, this time for parole violation.

Betsy Abigail Adams, 33, first found herself in legal trouble in 2015, when she was arrested and charged with felony burglary and theft by receiving.

Two years later, Adams managed to escape from the back of a patrol car and flee the scene at the Super Inn motel. She was tracked down several days later and charged with escape, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, criminal interference with government property, and theft by taking.

For this, she spent 209 days in the county jail.

Adams again was arrested two years later and charged with possession of methamphetamine.

All totalled, Adams has spent at least four weeks in the county jail on eight different occasions.
