LOOKING AT FOURTH DIFFERENT STINT IN STATE PRISION
A man who’s spent nearly all of his adult life in prison is back behind bars, this time accused of attacking two women.
Davonta Braddy, 31, was booked at the county jail and charged with two counts of battery and one count of parole violation. Braddy was released from Calhoun State Prison in January, where he’d been housed since 2020.
The first incident occurred in the Milledgeville Manor, and Braddy reportedly became upset after a woman standing outside of the Q Building made a disparaging comment about people who live in the Manor. The victim said that Braddy then followed her to the stairwell of the building before he “hit her in the face with a wooden chair.” The victim “had a bleeding laceration above her right eye.”
Four days later, meanwhile, Braddy roughed up his girlfriend on Swint Avenue, according to an incident report. Added the incident report: “(The victim) advised Davonta struck her in the face and continued attacking her by throwing her to the ground.” A deputy “observed bruising and swelling to (the victim’s) left eye.”
Braddy is now looking at his fourth diff erent stint in state prison. This is his past incarceration history: September 2014 through October 2018 March 2019 through December 2019 July 2020 through January 2026
