Suggs facing second felony theft by deception charge in six weeks

Ricky Lee Suggs agreed to perform some compacting and leveling work for a neighbor last summer, and a contract was signed.

The neighbor paid Suggs half of the money up front, as Suggs said he needed it to rent a tractor and buy the dirt, according to an incident report. Seven months later, however, the neighbor was still getting the runaround, so he decided to get the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office involved. Suggs, 37, eventually was arrested and charged with one count of felony theft by deception.

Suggs also was booked at the county jail and charged with felony theft by deception on March 22.
