I am the best candidate because I bring proven leadership, experience, and a record of delivering results for this community. I have served as your State Representative, State Senator, and Mayor of Milledgeville, and I am also a former business owner who understands the challenges of creating jobs and growing our local economy. I know how government works—and how to make it work for the people of this district. As a Vietnam combat veteran with more than 20 years of service in the U.S. Army, I have spent my life serving others. Leadership is about results, not introductions. At a time when experience
matters, I off er steady, tested leadership-and the ability to deliver from day one.
In order, what would be your four biggest priorities if elected?
1. Education – Education is my number one priority because it drives opportunity, economic growth, and the future of our district. Every child deserves access to a high-quality public education, regardless of background or zip code. I will continue to support increased investment in our schools, competitive salaries for teachers, and resources that ensure classrooms are equipped for success. We must also strengthen early childhood education, expand career and technical training, and better align our schools with workforce needs so students graduate ready for college or a good-paying job. I have consistently supported policies that move education forward. I strongly supported and spoke from the well of the House of Representatives on the literacy bill that passed the General Assembly, because improving reading outcomes is essential to long-term student success. I will continue working with educators, parents, and community leaders to deliver results—not just promises. Strong leadership in education produces strong outcomes.
2. Veterans and Seniors Care – As a veteran, this is not just a priority – it is a personal commitment. Those who served our country deserve access to quality healthcare, housing, and the full bene. ts they have earned. I serve on the House Defense and Veterans Aff airs Committee, where I work directly on issues impacting veterans and their families. I will continue to advocate for improved access to services, reduced wait times, and stronger support systems for veterans transitioning to civilian life. Our seniors also deserve dignity, respect, and security. I will work to expand programs that support aging in place, increase access to aff ordable healthcare, and ensure that seniors are not left behind due to rising costs. Experience matters when it comes to navigating these complex systems, and I have a proven record of standing up for both veterans and seniors.
3. Medicaid – Access to healthcare is essential for strong families and a strong community. Strengthening Medicaid is a practical and responsible way to ensure that children, working families, and vulnerable populations receive preventive care and necessary treatment. When people have access to care, we reduce emergency room costs and improve long-term health outcomes. I support responsible, accountable solutions that expand access while protecting taxpayers. This re- quires thoughtful leadership that understands both the human impact and the . nancial responsibility involved. My focus will remain on delivering real, workable solutions that improve lives.
4. Public Safety – Public safety is fundamental to the success and stability of our communities. I strongly support law enforcement and will continue working to ensure they have the training, equipment, and resources needed to do their jobs eff ectively. At the same time, we must invest in prevention strategies that address the root causes of crime, including youth engagement, education, and economic opportunity. Public safety is strongest when communities and law enforce- ment work together. Creating safe neighborhoods requires experience, consistency, and leadership that understands how to balance enforcement with prevention—and I have that experience.
