Homeless man completes law enforcement triathlon

Last March, Ayden Calder Moore led an officer on a foot chase through the woods near The Milledgeville Mall, eventually getting away and completing the first leg of his own personal law enforcement triathlon.

Three months later, while deputies were attempting to serve a warrant on Merry Drive, Moore jumped into Lake Sinclair and swam across the cove, ultimately getting away and completing the second leg of the event.

Then, last Friday, a deputy spotted Moore riding a bicycle on Wolverine Street. Once the deputy moved in, however, Moore took off through the woods and in the direction of Linden Court, again getting away. The Sheriff’s Office decided that enough was enough, bringing in both a drone and a K9 officer. Moore ultimately was arrested while hiding out in his girlfriend’s apartment in the Milledgeville Manor.

Moore, listed in the incident report as “homeless,” was charged with four counts of obstruction of an officer, as well as one count each of possession of marijuana, givling false information and probation violation.

The girlfriend – Tykeria Dezerea Vassar – also was arrested. She was charged with one count of misdemeanor obstruction of an officer and one count of hindering the apprehension of a criminal.
