The GMC Prep Bulldogs football team failed to make the GHSA State Playoffs but did receive several post-season awards and recognitions after a much-improved 2025 season.
In only his second season with the Bulldogs, head coach Gavin Tierce improved his team’s record from 0-10 in 2024 to 4-6, which helped earn him Coach of the Year honors for the 2025 season.
Among the GMC Prep players that earned Region 5, Single A, Division II honors were place kicker Zac Koehler, defensive back Jack Dekle, linebacker Walt Greene, wide receiver and defensive back Noah Yohan, fullback Evan Stasney, and offensive linemen Cade Brooks and Matt McDade.
Stasney led the Bulldogs in rushing with 623 yards and four touchdowns as well as a 5.0 yards per carry average through nine games played.
Greene led the Bulldogs in tackles with 49 total and accounted for two of the team’s six total interceptions.
Koehler made six field goals in 2025 and had 29 points for the season.
The Bulldogs look to continue their improvement in 2026 with Dekle and Stasney returning for their senior seasons under Tierce.
