What: Lockerly After Dark: The Light Within When: 7:30-9 p.m. Where: Hwy. 441 S, 1534 Irwinton Rd., Milledgeville More Info: This adults-only evening invites you to slow down, sip on a drink, and rediscover the wonder of fireflies. You’ll learn about the fascinating science behind these glowing insects, including how and why they light up through bioluminescence. Then, with a mason jar in hand, you’ll head out into the night to catch fireflies yourself. It is $8 per person.

A monthly distribution of 50 diapers is available for infants and toddlers. The parent must register for the diaper program with a valid photo I.D. and a copy of the child’s birth certificate.
