Georgia Military College (GMC) Prep School announced the development of a brand-new, state-ofthe- art 8,100-square-foot athletic facility, unveiled during the GMC Prep Casino Night.
Through rigorous training, discipline, and teamwork, GMC Prep student-athletes embody the values of leadership and excellence that define Georgia Military College. This facility will be a testament to the school’s continued investment in Prep School athletics and belief in the power of sports to shape character, resilience, and future success.
Made possible through generous and ongoing fundraising efforts in collaboration with the GMC Foundation, the school has already raised $400,000 toward this initiative.
This new facility will further elevate GMC Prep’s athletic programs, providing student-athletes with top-tier training resources and enhancing their ability to compete at the highest levels.
Key features of the facility include a weight room with turf area designed to foster strength, conditioning, and agility development; three coaches’ offices for football in the fall and soccer in the spring; a classroom for team meetings and video review for strategic planning, game analysis, and balancing academic and athletic commitments; two locker rooms; showers and restrooms; storage with a washer and dryer; a large equipment room; and a coaches’ conference to meet, analyze film, and develop game plans to ensure the continued success of GMC Prep teams.
As a fully fund raised initiative, this project highlights the dedication of the GMC family and the generosity of the school’s supporters. Naming opportunities for various spaces within the facility will be announced soon, offering donors the chance to leave a lasting legacy in support of GMC Prep School student-athletes.
More details, including the projected timeline for completion, will be shared in the coming months.
