Georgia Military College Preparatory School (GMC Prep) has selected offensive line Coach Major Gavin Tierce as the head varsity football coach.
Tierce brings football experience spanning across the state of Georgia and culminating in his role as offensive line coach at GMC Prep this past season. His coaching repertoire extends beyond the O-Line, having served as run game coordinator and strength and conditioning coordinator at his previous school.
“Being a head football coach has been a dream of mine since I first stepped on the field as a player,” said Tierce. “I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to lead the Bulldogs and contribute to the lasting legacy of success at Georgia Military College Prep School. GMC is such an amazing and supportive community, and being a part of this family has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.”
Beyond the gridiron, Tierce has made meaningful connections with GMC Prep students in his history classes and as the head wrestling coach.
His selection for this new role is not only a testament to his coaching acumen but also to the overwhelming support from his coaching staff and players. This support echoes throughout the administration, the Board of Trustees, alumni and the GMC community.
GMC Prep School Principal Colonel Amy Lee expressed her excitement about Tierce’s appointment, stating “We are thrilled to welcome Coach Tierce as our new head football coach. His dedication to our students both in the classroom and on the field is exemplary. We have full confidence in his ability to lead our football program to new heights.”
With a leadership style succinct to our values, Tierce is poised to foster the growth of GMC Prep’s players and its program.
