Georgia Military College Preparatory School (GMC Prep) appointed Clint Raburn as assistant principal for 6-12 grades academics and operations for the 2024-25 school year.
"The Prep School team is beyond excited to promote Clint to the position of assistant principal,' said GMC Colonel Amy Lee, principal of Georgia Military College Preparatory School. "Clint is passionate about the education of our students and helping them succeed both in and out of the classroom, and I look forward to him working with our faculty and staff. Clint will help the leadership team continue to create an environment of academic excellence and character development."
Raburn has served GMC Prep for the last eight years as the middle and high school band director and served in various leadership roles over his 20-plus years in education.
Raburn’s passion for GMC Prep’s students aligns with GMC’s mission of academic, leadership, and character development.
“He is well-respected in our Preparatory School by his peers and by our entire leadership team. Clint has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to our mission, innovation in his teaching methods, and a strong passion for student success,” said Lieutenant General William B. Caldwell IV, USA (Ret), Georgia Military College president.
As the assistant principal, Raburn will work closely with the school's leadership, faculty, and staff to ensure a high-quality educational experience for every student.
He will play a vital role in implementing curriculum enhancements, promoting innovative teaching methods, and fostering a positive and inclusive school culture. In addition to his new role, he will continue leading high school marching and concert bands.
“We are thrilled that Clint will serve in this support role for our faculty,” said Caldwell. “I have full confidence he will bring the same enthusiasm and commitment to shaping our curriculum to meet the evolving needs of our students and faculty. We are blessed to have Clint on our team and know he will have an even greater impact across the entire school. His strong leadership skills combined with his emphasis on educational excellence will enhance GMC’s commitment to student success.”
