The Sembler Project, a commercial development company headquartered in Florida, announced the building of a shopping center called Lakeside Commons in Milledgeville.
Lakeside Commons is described in their press release as a “Publix Super Market-Anchored Shopping Center” and will be developed on a 12-acre property. The center will be located at the intersection of US 441 and Log Cabin Road.
“We are excited to bring the first Publix Super Market to the Milledgeville community.
The shopping center will be well-positioned in the trade area to provide a grocery alternative for residents and bring new retailers, restaurants, and service providers to the area,” said Sembler Senior Vice President, Josh Beyer in the release.
Lakeside Commons will be 48,387 square feet. An additional building will offer a total of 12,000 square feet for small shop space that will front U.S.
441. According to property details, the company expects Lakeside Commons to serve a trade area of 50,000 people. The company also makes a reference to the Kroger shopping center in the property details likely expecting a similar number of visitations.
“Two outparcels will be created on the site with 1.24 acres and 1.41 acres, available for ground lease, sale, and/or build-to-suit development opportunities,” states the press release.
According to the press release, the Sembler Company will be exclusively leasing to quick-serve restaurants, service-related retailers, postal stores, and other providers such as financial service providers or medical offices.
“We have started preleasing and looking forward to working with national, regional, and local tenants for retail, service and restaurant uses that will add to the overall merchandising mix of the center,” said Sembler Regional Director of Leasing Frank Militello in the press release.
The shopping center will begin construction in early 2023 and is expected to open to the public in early 2024.
