Three locals were arrested Oct. 16 in connection with an ongoing investigation into thefts involving unlocked cars and trucks around Baldwin County.

Authorities impounded a car on Sunday connected to this spree of entering autos. According to an incident report, an officer was able to connect the vehicle seen in surveillance footage for the entering autos to a vehicle stopped by Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Lt. Jerome Roberts on Oct. 8.

Inside the vehicle was driver Jeremy Blizard and passengers Halie Golden and Trevor Sawyer. Due to the previous traffic stop on Blizard, he was immediately arrested for driving while unlicensed.

In the report, it was noted that Sawyer would be arrested on entering auto charges after an officer realized he was wearing the same clothes of the suspect from the entering autos. Golden was then arrested for entering auto after one victim’s stolen items were located in Blizard’s vehicle. At this time, the entering auto charge was also added to Blizard’s arrest.

According to the jail report, the trio were all Milledgeville locals. Jeremy Andrew Blizard, 17, was charged with driving without a valid license ( misdemeanor) and entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony. Halie Golden, was charged with entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony. Trevor Sawyer, 24, was charged with entering an automobile or other motor vehicle with intent to commit theft or felony and a probation violation.

The trio entered at least six vehicles at Villamar Apartments on 342 Log Cabin Road. All six vehicles were noted to be ransacked, and among the reports several items were noted to have been stolen, including a glock 19mm pistol, a Milwaukee drill, a blue point socket set, a pair of Oakley prescription sunglasses, Costa sunglasses, a tool bag of miscellaneous tools, a previous tag for one of the six victim’s vehicle and registration paperwork for the same vehicle that the tag was stolen from.

Three vehicles were reported as having been entered at Grove Park Apartments. According to the three reports, multiple items were reported missing. These items included vehicle keys, a hammer, two watches, three knives, an owner’s manual, an iPhone 6 and $300 from a victim’s wallet.

Camera footage from Walmart revealed Blizad attempting to use the stolen card multiple times and having it decline. Due to this report, Blizard was later charged with financial transaction card fraud.
