The Milledgeville City Council met on Tuesday and approved several resolutions that will affect the city.
The council heard the first reading of an ordinance that will allow a special use of 1231 North Columbia Street for a car lot. The car lot will allow a maximum of 10 cars. This ordinance was assigned to the Planning and Zoning commission.
Next, the council unanimously approved a resolution to authorize an Equipment Loan Agreement with Plytec Inc. for the purchase of lime slurry and the use of bulk storage, chemical feed and control equipment used in the treatment of water at the wastewater treatment plant.
Another resolution was unanimously approved that will authorize Strong Foundations, Inc. to make emergency repairs to concrete paving on Fieldstone Drive.
“This will probably be one of three contracts we will be doing before you all (the council) dealing with stormwater,” said Bo Danuser, city clerk.
The meeting concluded with an alcohol license approval for Fall Line Brewing Company to sell beer during the Deep Roots Festival and the 2023 renewals of multiple alcohol licenses.
