GC women’s tennis lands 4 on Conference All-Academic Team

The Georgia College Women’s Tennis Team caps off an impressive season by adding four to the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Team of Academic Distinction. Jordan Bowie, Emilia Richter, Emma Fleming, and Ashton Morrison were all named recipients for this year’s honors.

Bowie is a Macon, Georgia native who just capped off her career at GC. This is the third time she has snagged this award as she recorded a 3.88 GPA. Bowie earned her nursing degree in May of 2022. In her senior campaign, she recorded a 10-5 season record and a 3-2 PBC record.

Richter hails from Berlin, Germany, and just concluded her incredible career as a Bobcat. She secured her degree in public health in May with a 3.76 GPA. Richter recorded her 100th win as she went 14-5 overall with a 6-1 conference record.

Fleming the Suwannee, Georgia native claimed her third honor rounding out her career at GC. She picked up a 3.75 GPA as she completed her nursing degree in May. Fleming had the best record on the squad with a 16-4 season record and a 5-2 PBC record.

The final athlete named is the Cumming, Georgia native Morrison. The only sophomore to snag the honor for GC had a 3.90 GPA. She is pursuing a degree in special education. Morrison finished the season with an 8-6 record with a 2-3 PBC record.

Bobcat Women’s Tennis finished the season with a 15-7 season record and a 4-3 conference finish. The Bobcats finished their season with a loss to the No. 5 seed Augusta University.
