Dear Editor,
When I ran for the Georgia House of Representatives for District 149, I promised to donate a percentage of my House salary to the Boys & Girls Clubs that serve our young people. I am pleased to report that I have kept that promise.
My wife Nathalie and I recently donated $1,000 to the East Macon Boys & Girls Club and $1,500 to the Baldwin/ Jones County Boys & Girls Club.
What many may not know is that Nathalie and I have personally donated $500 every year for more than 30 years to the Baldwin/Jones County Club, dating back to my time as mayor. We have supported these clubs for decades because we have seen how they guide, protect, and inspire our young people.
As a former mayor, former state senator, and now state representative, I believe leadership means keeping your word and investing in the next generation.
Supporting our Boys & Girls Clubs is not just a campaign promise kept, it is a lifelong commitment.
Winners make it happen. Leaders solve problems, not create them.
Sincerely, Floyd L. Griffin State Representative, House District 149
