Unknown males damage parking signsOn Nov. 23, law enforcement was dispatched to Grants Jewelry store, at 116 South Wayne St., in reference to criminal trespass. The owner stated that when he arrived at work, he noticed two of his parking signs had been damaged.

Walls of Books in Milledgeville offers a selection of new and used books for readers of any age.Opening in July of 2020, Wall of Books established itself as an affordable bookstore with a vast selection of books and genres.

Rivian lands federal loan to restart EV plant

A nearly $6 billion federal loan will help electric-vehicle manufacturer Rivian restart construction of a $5 billion vehicle and battery plant near Covington, U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, D-Ga., announced Tuesday.The project was expected to create 7,500 jobs when it was announced in late 2021.

Autumn Dash 5K helps feed families over the holidays

High-speed chase ends in two arrests

A high-speed chase that began in Baldwin County Saturday raced through Jones County before it ended in Putnam County. Once captured, the two Baldwin women in the car each told authorities a different story.
