Jury issues guilty verdict in 10-year-old’s murder

A young life was taken on a Sunday night in 2023 when 10-year-old Damarion Byrd was shot in the back while sleeping in his bed. Two years and a month later, a Baldwin County jury convicted two of the people responsible.

American Red Cross and Georgia College’s Office of Community Service and Engagement hosted a blood drive on April 1 and April 3 in the Maxwell Student Union’s Donahoo Lounge, which was sponsored by the fraternities and sororities of Georgia College.
