Local Walteria Dean was arrested for aggravated assault after intentionally hitting another woman with her car On Oct. 10, law enforcement was dispatched to 240 Pennington Road. On scene, they made contact with the assault victim, identified as 21-year-old Gabriel Strange of Milledgeville.
Strange suffered injuries to her legs after being struck by her partner Bobby Anthony Williams Jr.’s ex-girlfriend on the side of the road. She refused medical attention at the scene.
According to the incident report, Strange and her boyfriend were traveling down Ivey Weaver Road in one vehicle when the suspect, later identified as Walteria Francieno Dean, was also traveling on the road. Reportedly the couple pulled over after an argument began between them. At this time, Dean would pull up behind Williams’ vehicle and begin to yell.
Due to Dean’s yelling, Williams exited his vehicle. Reportedly, Strange also exited the vehicle in an attempt to get Williams back inside the car with her.
“Walteria Dean then got back in her vehicle and hit Bobby Williams’ vehicle. Gabriel Stange was standing by the door of Bobby Williams’ vehicle. Dean then backed up and drove forward, intentionally running into Strange and causing injury to her legs,” wrote reporting officer Jordan Carpenter.
After the assault, Dean reportedly drove away and wasn’t found until later in the day by authorities looking for her and the damaged car.
According to the report, Dean was charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of criminal damage to property in the first degree.
