Downtown Greensboro will host a weekend filled with live music, dancing, shopping, and family fun this Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18.
The festivities begin at 7 p.m. Friday night when the Swingin’ Medallions take the outdoor stage in front of Festival Hall. This free community concert invites everyone to bring a lawn chair, gather with friends and family, and enjoy an evening of beach music favorites and timeless classics.
In addition to live entertainment, guests can enjoy food vendors, face painting, yard games, and plenty of room to dance the night away. Several downtown merchants will also stay open late, making it a perfect opportunity to shop locally before or during the concert.
The music continues Saturday evening with Blake Robert, an Austinbased musician traveling across the United States and performing solely for tips. Blake will perform two free shows in Downtown Greensboro, beginning noon to 1 p.m. on the Greene County Courthouse lawn, and followed by an evening performance from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at The Yesterday Café.
Guests are again encouraged to bring a chair, explore downtown, enjoy lunch or dinner at one of Greensboro’s local restaurants, browse the unique shops and relax with live music throughout the day.
Admission to all performances is free. Bring a lawn chair, invite friends, and experience an unforgettable weekend of music in Downtown Greensboro.
