A 911 call came in from Hyundai of Milledgeville on Monday afternoon in reference to a shattered vehicle window and an assault.

Eventually arrested and charged with aggravated assault and other charges was Monteigaus McCormick.

McCormick is accused of punching out the window of a new car, pointing a gun at a salesman, threatening to kill him, and then proceeding to punch the salesman in the face multiple times.

McCormick remained on the scene, his knuckles bloodied. An officer said McCormick told him the victim “touched his girlfriend...during a test drive” several days earlier and that he “is supposed to protect his girlfriend and his kid.” McCormick “accused (the salesman) of touching (his girlfriend’s) private area,” which the victim later denied.

The gun was recovered later from under a tire on McCormick’s vehicle.
