Why are you the best candidate for the job?

Baldwin County needs steady, responsible leadership, and I’m prepared to provide it. I am a lifelong resident and have spent nearly 30 years in small business and many years serving on local and regional boards. I am deeply engaged in our community and I understand the opportunities and challenges we face. Through my work in business and board service, I’ve managed budgets, made tough decisions, and planned for long-term success—skills that translate directly to responsible local government. Recent events have underscored the importance of strong oversight and accountability, and I’m prepared to help ensure our county is managed responsibly. I believe in careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars and thoughtful development. I’m not here to make noise—I’m here to do the work.

In order, what would be your four biggest priorities if elected?

1. Fiscal Responsibility and Long-Term Financial Stability – My top priority is ensuring the county operates on a strong and sustainable . nancial foundation. This means rebuilding reserves, reducing reliance on short-term borrowing, and carefully evaluating all spending decisions. Every project— whether funded locally or through grants-should be reviewed with its full lifetime cost in mind, including maintenance, staffi ng, and long-term impact on taxpayers. It also means strong oversight, clear accountability, and transparency in how taxpayer dollars are managed. Responsible budgeting today protects our county’s future.

2. Infrastructure and Core Services – Our roads, water systems, and public services are the foundation of county government. I want to ensure our infrastructure is properly maintained and expanded to support both current residents and future development. This means prioritizing maintenance, planning ahead for capacity needs, and ensuring emergency services, public works, and utilities have the resources to serve the community eff ectively.

Strong infrastructure supports quality of life, protects taxpayers’ investments, and is essential to long-term economic success.

3. Smart, Balanced Growth – Growth is coming, and we need to manage it wisely. I support thoughtful development that expands our tax base without placing unnecessary strain on infrastructure or existing neighborhoods. This includes being proactive about where and how projects are located, ensuring they . t within appropriate areas and do not negatively impact residents through noise, light, or increased utility costs. Growth should bene. t the entire community, not just a few.

4. Accessibility and Responsive Local Government – Local government should be approachable and accountable. I believe residents should feel comfortable reaching out, asking questions, and being heard. I will prioritize clear communication, transparency in decision-making, and being visible and accessible in the community. That means regularly engaging with residents, being easy to reach, and following through on concerns brought forward. Whether it’s stopping by our business downtown or giving me a call, I want people to know I’m accessible. Good leadership starts with listening, and I’m committed to making sure every voice in District 3 has a seat at the table.
