A fight broke out at Wendy’s during the middle of the afternoon earlier this month. Punches were thrown, but the Wendy’s cameras were not working, which deterred the investigation.
While interviewing those involved, an officer discovered that one of the women had an active warrant. Caneshia Devereaux, 30, was charged with failure to appear.
In other Milledgeville Police Department news:
• A familiar face around downtown Milledgeville was arrested on the northside. A store manager at Stacked Sandwiches & More told officers that “an elderly male had come into the location’s front door and began taking his pants off until his genitals were on display for the public to see.” Michael David Radney, 69, was charged with disorderly conduct. It’s Radney’s sixth arrest in the last three-and-a-half years. Most of his arrests occurred around downtown.
• A woman on Hall Street became really upset after someone gave her only half of a beer after previously promising her a full one. No arrests were made.
• Eugenia Rives, listed with an O’Connor Drive address, was arrested for shoplifting after reportedly stealing items from Walmart for the sixth time in less than a month, according to the incident report.
• James Wanambya, listed with a Sparta address, was arrested for aggravated assault and three counts of third degree cruelty to children after reportedly pushing his wife down onto the couch, choking her and yelling “die, (expletive) die.” The incident occurred at the family’s home in the 150 block of Moore Street.
• Break-ins, thefts and/or entering autos were reported in the 330 block of West Walton Street, the 320 block of West Greene Street and the Golden Pantry parking lot.
In Baldwin County Sheriff's Department news:
• Cody Dwayne Markham, 33, was arrested for aggravated battery after hitting another man in the eye with an unknown object, which resulted in a hospitalization. The incident occurred at 133 Ethridge Road, and Markham became upset after he and the victim “began talking about religion.”
• Break-ins, thefts and/or entering autos were reported in the 240 block of Merry Drive and the 580 block of Stembridge Road.
