Four teens arrested for casing vehicles

Four teenagers, including two who recently turned 17, have been charged after a series of entering autos late last week on Pine Needle Road.

Moriah Anthony Nelson and Tyrell Antwon Rhodes each was charged with eight counts of entering auto. The other two suspect are juveniles.

Pine Needle Road is a cluster of duplexes located off of West Hancock Street. Years ago, it was a Christmas tree farm.

The thefts occurred late Thursday and early Friday. The teens “were pulling on door handles” and accessing unlocked cars, according to Maj.

Brandon Sellers with the Milledgeville Police Department.

MPD detectives were busy on Friday investigating a murder-suicide on Richmond Street, located just several hundred yards away, which put the onus on patrol officers.

“This was all patrol. Lieutenant Ryan Chapple and his shift did a great job with the case,” said Sellers.
