Baldwin County School District and Georgia Military College have announced a collaborative school safety partnership designed to strengthen emergency communication and response across Baldwin County school campuses through the use of CENTEGIX CrisisAlert wearable safety badges.
The partnership brings together Baldwin County School District, Georgia Military College, GMC Preparatory School, and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office through a universal safety platform that allows school staff and emergency responders to communicate quickly and share critical information in real time during an emergency.
The initiative also aligns with Georgia House Bill 268, passed in 2025, which requires public K-12 schools to implement a mobile panic alert system capable of improving coordination between school personnel, administrators, and first responders during a school security emergency by the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year. Baldwin County Schools have used this type of safety technology for several years, but this new partnership expands that work into a more universal safety network.
“As part of our ongoing endeavor to make Baldwin County a premier location for education across all sectors, the safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and we know that protecting children requires strong partnerships across the entire community,” said Superintendent Dr. Kristina Brooks. “By working alongside Georgia Military College, and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, we are strengthening our ability to respond quickly, communicate clearly, and make sure help gets to the right place when every second matters.”
