Freedom Boat Club to expand on Lake Sinclair

Freedom Boat Club (FBC) is expanding its presence in Lake Country with a new location on Lake Sinclair at Sinclair Marina (170 Sinclair Marina Rd., Milledgeville). The new location is expected to begin operations the first week of June.

The expansion introduces a new theme for the club’s local members: “One Membership. Two Lakes. Endless Memories.” The addition of Lake Sinclair will allow FBC members to enjoy boating access on both Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair through a single club membership, meaning more water to explore, more destinations to enjoy, and more opportunities for families to spend meaningful time together on the water.

The Lake Sinclair location will be owned and operated by Deano and Heather Cantrell, who have successfully operated Freedom Boat Club locations on Lake Oconee for the past 11 years. Under their leadership, the Lake Oconee locations have become known for exceptional service, well-maintained boats, and a strong boating community.

“For us, boating has always been about helping families create memories together,” Deano Cantrell said. “Our purpose is simple, to make it easy for people to get on the water and spend quality time with the people they care about most.”

Freedom Boat Club provides a simple alternative to boat ownership. Members gain access to a fleet of boats without the responsibilities of maintenance, storage, insurance, or cleaning. The club’s professional dock staff prepares the boats for each outing, allowing members to simply arrive, step aboard, and enjoy their day on the water.

Members at the Lake Sinclair location will also benefit from the broader FBC network, which provides reciprocal access to hundreds of locations across the United States and internationally.
