The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce recently announced that GMC Prep School senior Joyce Chow has been selected as the 2026 Baldwin County STAR Student.
Joyce selected Alisha Rochon as her STAR Teacher in recognition of the significant impact she has had on her academic achievement and success.
Together, they advanced to the regional STAR competition next month, representing Milledgeville and Baldwin County.
This is the 40th year that the Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce has served as the local sponsoring organization for the Baldwin County STAR (Student Teacher Achievement Recognition) program. The STAR program honors Georgia’s highest- achieving high school seniors and the teachers they credit for inspiring their academic accomplishments.
The Chamber extends sincere appreciation to its local sponsors, the Milledgeville Exchange Club, the Kiwanis Club of Milledgeville, and the Rotary Club of Milledgeville, for their continued support of this longstanding program and their investment in academic excellence within our community.
The Chamber congratulates Joyce and Mrs. Rochon on their outstanding achievements and wishes them the very best at the regional level.
