Wayne St., Milledgeville More info: Since 2003, the guild has brought together talented quilters from all around the area who love to share their craft with the community. From intricate patterns to vibrant colors, each quilt tells a story stitched with passion, skill, and creativity. With national award winners and local favorites, this exhibit perfectly blends tradition and innovation.
What: GCSU Guest Artist Concert When: 7:30 p.m. Where: GCSUMax Noah Recital Hall, 210 N. Wilkinson St., Milledgeville More info: “Songs of Sunshine, Love, Conflict, and Death” featuring members of the 1716 Collective of the University of North Georgia: Yue Yin, coloratura soprano; Benjamin Schoening, lyric baritone; and David Peoples, piano, percussion, and composer. The concert will include music for soprano or baritone and piano with literature from notable 19th century poets and writers ranging from Edgar Allen Poe, Christina Rosetti, Emily Dickenson, and many more. All compositions on the program are by Georgia-based composer David R. Peoples, with two world premieres on the program. Concert is free to attend but a $5 donation is encouraged to benefit music scholarships and the GCSU Department of Music.
