The same man has avoided being arrested twice in the last three weeks, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Christopher Crump, listed with a Henry County address, most recently was detained in the Food Depot parking lot on Monday night after reportedly yelling at customers in the parking lot. A woman relayed to officers that “she went into the store and when she came out, she saw Crump standing her her car yelling at the her kids. (The woman) stated when she confronted Crump about it, he began yelling at her and trying to fight her.”
The officer “was able to hear Crump yelling” when he arrived and exited his patrol car. Crump was handcuffed and detained. Ultimately,, however, “Crump was later turned away from the Sheriff’s Office (jail) for high temperature and claims of diarrhea. Warrants were secured and taken to the Sheriff’s Office for Crump, according to a Milledgeville Police Department incident report.
On April 30, meanwhile, Crump was issued a shoplifting citation at Walmart. Prior to the pandemic, shoplifting was deemed an arrest able offense.
