• Ernest DeVane, 61, passed away on Saturday, March 14. Williams Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. Visitation is set for Friday, March 20 from noon until 1 at Williams, with the funeral to immediately follow. Immediate survivors are Wanda Sue Burgamy (wife), Danielle Elizabeth Thomas (daughter), Sabrina Mae DeVane (daughter), Terry Lee Burgamy (son) and Beth Osborn (sister).

• Barbara Peavy Larson, 95, passed away on Thursday, March 12. Moores Funeral Home had charge of arrangements, which are complete. Immediate survivors are Denice Allen (daughter), Julie Larson Bishop (daughter), Donna Larson Hodge (daughter), Danny Larson (son) and Shiley Etheridge (sister).

• Shirley Osborne McDade, 89, passed away on March 14. Moores Funeral Home had charge of arrangements, which are complete. Immediate survivors are Susie Massey (daughter) Becky Greene (daughter), Sally Couey (daughter) and Dot Hussey (daughter).

• Maxine Rogers Byrd Murphy, 97, passed away on Thursday, March 12. Williams Funeral Home had charge of arrangements, which are complete. Immediate survivors are Nancy Buchanan (daughter), Eddie Byrd (son) and Bobbie Jean Harlow (sister).

• Willie Parks, 65, passed away on Wednesday, March 11. Slater’s Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. The funeral is set for Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Milledgeville.

• Gloria Scott, 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 17. Peoples Funeral Home has charge of arrangements, which were not available as of press time Wednesday.

• James H. Veal, 88, passed away on Sunday, March 15. Moores Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Immediate survivors are Barbara May Veal (wife) and Jimmy Veal (son).

• Gertrude Williams, 73, passed away on Saturday, March 14. Slater’s Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. The funeral is set for Sunday, March 22 at 11 a.m. at Slater’s.
