Man arrested for 24th time

Ulonzo Tamayo Veal, 45, was arrested over the weekend and charged with criminal trespass after reportedly kicking in the door of an apartment in the Boddie projects and stealing a video game controller.

The arrest was Veal’s 24th in Baldwin County, as well as his 14th in the last 13 years.

Veal also was arrested in February 2018 and charged with rape, aggravated sodomy and DUI after reportedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old developmentally disabled female near Sinclair Dam. He later pleaded down to sexual battery and public drunkenness and spent 208 days behind bars.

Veal has since been arrested three more times.

All totaled, past charges include kidnapping, child molestation, burglary, battery, theft by taking, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, aggravated assault, criminal trespass, felony obstruction of an officer and DUI.
