Floyd Griffin to launch talk show on politics

Posted in:

You’re never too old to try new things.

Ask Floyd Griffin. Now 76, Griffin this week launched his own digital talk show – “From the Courthouse to the Whitehouse.”

The show is in a Zoom teleconference format, and it can be found on the “Floyd Griffin Former Senator-Mayor” Facebook page, beginning each Tuesday at 7 p.m.

“Every Tuesday from now until the election, we’ll be on. All politics is local. That’s what I want everyone to understand,” said Griffin.

Griffin’s first scheduled guest was Randy Morrow, Baldwin County’s chief registrar. After this week, however, the show is slated to take on a much more partisan feel. Included on the future guest list are Raphael Warnock, a Democratic candidate for United States Senate, as well as other Democrats running at the local level and regional level. In an op ed announcing the launch of the show, Griffin did not hold back.

“How can a Christian vote for the divisiveness of Donald Trump?” he wrote. “How can a Christian not vote for the calming presence of a Joe Biden presidency.”
