Deadline day is Friday (Dec. 4) for public school parents to choose between in-person and remote learning for the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year, according to a press release from the district.

Beginning in January, there will be no more opting in or opting out, and the format that parents choose for their child beginning in January will remain for the rest of this school year, according to the press release.

Added the press release: “January will be the final opportunity for remote learning students to return to in-person instruction.

“Each school will be providing parents with an option form to complete indicating whether they want their child/children to return to in-person instruction or remain in remote learning. Students will also have the option of enrolling in our Baldwin Online Academy, which does not require students to participate in the daily live sessions. Students will automatically continue with their current learning option if no change is made.”

All forms can be found within the “2020-2021 BACK TO SCHOOL” tab on the district’s website –
