Horror fans united last week as a piece of Crystal Lake made its way to Milledgeville.

CJ’s Sports Collectibles held its first public signing featuring Warrington Gillette. Gillette is best known for his role as Jason Voorhes in “Friday the 13th Part II.” Gillette’s Jason was the first known to kill.

Fans gathered at the shop downtown to meet the actor and get their one-of-a-kind memorabilia signed. Guests got to choose from movie prints, wood-handled machetes, 3D art, and the infamous hockey mask.

CJ Jameson, the store’s owner, wants fans to know that there are more screams to come.

“We are a sports collectible and memorabilia shop. We don’t do just sports. We love horror movies,” he said. “We are going to have stuff like this happening all the time.

Along with unique movie memorabilia, the shop offers funko pops, jerseys, a wide variety of trading cards and much more.

During last week’s signing, the shop was excited to announce that Tony Moran, better known as Michael Myers, will be their guest for a special October signing.

“My goal is to have someone come in every other month. Then eventually, I want to do it every month,” said Jameson.

For fans who can’t wait till October, the memorabilia shop will be holding a private signing for horror film legend Tony Todd at the end of August. More information on that signing and more are available on CJ’s Sports Collectibles Facebook page.

Jameson wants fans to know that he is always open to suggestions.

“We are here to serve the community. If there is something that they would like to see from this realm, we are going to work to make it happen,” he said.

For fans who couldn’t make last week’s signing, don’t worry. The store will carry unique merchandise signed by the actor while supplies last.
