Argument at Golden Pantry results in arrest

Ronald Williams, 47, was arrested after reportedly reaching into his ex-girlfriend’s car at the Golden Pantry, taking the keys to the vehicle and then threatening to “beat her (expletive).”

Williams said that the woman owed him $600.

The woman admitted to throwing a cup of coffee on Williams in self-defense.

BCSO reports

• A “slender middle-aged man” named “Low” threatened someone at the K&C Short Stop across the river on multiple occasions, according to an incident report.

• A woman threatened to “start shooting up the (expletive) hospital” on Facebook after “not being able to be in the ER with her mother due to the coronavirus pandemic,” according to an incident report. The woman later relayed to a deputy that she didn’t really mean it. The deputy then advised the woman “that all threats are taken seriously and that she needed to be sure write exactly what she meant on Facebook.” No arrests were made.

• Delaney Mary Brown, 28, was pulled over after reportedly driving 91 miles per hour along North Columbia Street. She eventually was arrested and charged with DUI (refusal), speeding and open container.

MPD reports

• A pair of store windows was busted out at Jong’s Stop & Shop on South Wilkinson Street. Nothing was reported stolen. The case remains active.

• Someone stole a bag of charcoal from the Circle K across from the high school, according to an incident report.

• Break-ins, thefts and/or entering autos were reported in the Tall Oaks trailer park, Waters Edge Drive, the 660 block of Ga. 49 West and the Walmart parking lot.
